Yes, you heared right. Nokia is completely ready to hit markets again. They have recently signed a 10-years deal with HMD Global (A Finnish company) to make Nokia branded smartphones & tablets.Nokia also announced that they will still recieve the royality of sales of their phones.

Once the world’s biggest manufacturers of mobile phones,  was taken down by Apple and Samsung. It sold its handset business to Microsoft in 2014.

It however held on to its phone patents and started to prepare a comeback by brand-licensing, although it has had to wait due to a non-compete deal with Microsoft.

Microsoft on Wednesday announced it would sell its feature phone assets to FIH Mobile, a subsidiary of Foxconn, and HMD.

Nokia said that the next generation Nokia devices will be run on Android based OS. We hope this time Nokia will bring it’s legacy back. We can expect some good devices from them. But who knows. Let’s hope for the best.
